Giuseppe Farace, fotografo e giornalista, è nato a Napoli e ha vissuto per 12 anni a Parigi. Ha iniziato a fotografare nel 1976; nel 1983 ha pubblicato il primo articolo sulla rivista “Mondo Sommerso”. Dal 1989 è iscritto all’Ordine dei Giornalisti.
Istruttore subacqueo, velista, Giuseppe Farace è un esperto di mare e di nautica; la sua attività di fotoreporter spazia dalla natura al turismo, dallo sport all’archeologia. Nel 1996 e 1997 è stato caporedattore della rivista specializzata "Apnea", edizione italiana. Appassionato anche di aeronautica, ha collaborato per anni con la rivista “Volare”.
Giuseppe Farace ha pubblicato migliaia di foto e articoli su riviste italiane e straniere e ha presentato le proprie fotografie in varie mostre. E’ stato membro della giuria di importanti manifestazioni internazionali di fotografia: “Festival Mondial de l’Image Sous-marine” - Francia nel 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2001 (presidente della giuria) 2002 e 2009, “Festival Okeanos” Montpellier - Francia nel 1993 (presidente della giuria), “International Underwater Photo-Video Festival Marmara” Istanbul – Turchia nel 2002.


Giuseppe Farace, photographer and journalist, was born in Naples and lived 12 years in Paris. He took up photography in 1976; he published his first article in 1983 on the magazine “Mondo Sommerso”. In 1989 he became member of the Italian “Ordine dei Giornalisti”.
Diving instructor and skipper, Giuseppe Farace is an expert of sea and nautical matters; his photoreporter activity ranges over many fields from nature to tourism, from sport to archaeology. In 1996 and 1997 he was chief editor of “Apnea” magazine (Italian edition). He is interested in aeronautics and collaborating with the magazine “Volare”.
Giuseppe Farace published thousands of photos and articles on Italian and foreign magazines and showed his photos in many exhibitions. He was member of the jury of important international photo contests: “Festival Mondial de l’Image Sous-marine” - France in 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2001 (president of the jury) 2002 and 2009, “Festival Okeanos” Montpellier - France in 1993 (president of the jury), “International Underwater Photo-Video Festival Marmara” Istanbul – Turkey in 2002.
